Column rules apply to columns and how they are resymbolized for an extracted drawing. There are two main kinds of column rules, side and footprint. Footprint refers to how the end of the column will be shown in the extracted drawing. Additionally, you can rotate the label of a column footprint. This can be very helpful if you have many labels on a drawing and want an easy way to determine which labels belong to columns. When you assign a rule that calls for a rotated label, you can set the degree of rotation.
